ArchEcology is a woman-owned sustainable design and consulting firm whose mission is to rebuild the relationship between people and the environment. We offer a range of green building services, including design consulting, technical consulting, education, project administration, and documentation for green building certification programs. Our services extend through each stage of the design and development process from pre-design through post occupancy.   As a green building consulting firm, ArchEcology can effectively shorten your learning curve by helping you to navigate changing regulations and new technologies. We facilitate the delivery of high performance green buildings that offer measurable operational savings, mitigate environmental impacts, and maximize return on investment.   Our Services Throughout the development process, we facilitate an integrated collaborative approach. We educate every member of the team from marketing and leasing staff to design and engineering consultants and from contractors and suppliers to property managers and end users.   To make your buildings green, we offer: Initial site assessment and pre-design feasibility studies Schematic design concepts for green buildings Environmental goal setting through eco-charrettes Incorporation of green performance standards into construction documents and specifications Facilitation of certification under a variety of green building programs, including LEED, Green Globes, Built Green, and Evergreen.   To make your operations green, we offer: Environmental management plans Environmental goal setting through eco-charrettes and staff surveys Communication strategies Post-occupancy evaluation   To raise the "green quotient" of your staff, we offer green building seminars and training tailored to specific audiences. We are approved AIA Providers and Real Estate Instructors, providing continuing education credits and clock hours through our sessions on green building features and green building programs.   Our Staff We have practical field experience in every aspect of conventional and green building marketing, design, and construction. We bring architectural design expertise, facilities management, and business development strategy together under one roof. We know how to integrate sustainability into conventional design and development goals because we know what works, what doesn’t work, and why.    Nancy Henderson, founder of ArchEcology and Managing Partner, is a LEED Accredited Professional with a Bachelors Degree in Architecture and over 15 years of architectural design and project management experience.  For the past six years, she has focused exclusively on green building design. She has written numerous articles and provided sustainable design workshops for dozens of projects and clients.    Michelle Rosenberger, Partner, is a LEED Accredited Professional with a Masters Degree in Business and 20 years experience providing marketing and business development strategies for contractors, engineers, and architects. She has authored numerous articles in local and national publications, most on sustainable design topics. She has designed and delivered presentations for LEED AP education and training, project specific eco-charrettes, case studies, post occupancy evaluations, and state of the industry seminars and discussions.   Lynn Clark, Project Coordinator, has over 5 years of experience providing client needs assessment for both the built environment and within educational programs.  The recent completion of certificate coursework in Facilities Management through the University of Washington expands her understanding of Building Operations and Maintenance best practices.  Through the successful completion of the Sustainable Building Advisor certification in June/2007, Lynn has developed a deep general base of knowledge on the potential sustainable practices for various building applications.
